DiscoCat is for discovering, streaming, rating, and tracking musical artists and composers from the popular to the obscure.
Discover and Explore
Search for artists (bands, musicians, composers, etc.), record labels, and creative works in external catalogs
Shazam playing music to find the recording, release, and artist
Suggested Artists: discover many other artists that share the same genres as your favorite artists
Recent Releases: keep up-to-date with the latest releases from your favorite artists
Tap on a genre or tag to find other artists that share the same ones
View comprehensive artist discography, not just the ones with streaming contracts
Learn about all the current and former members of a band or find other bands an individual artist was/is in
List all the creative works of an individual songwriter, composer, lyricist, etc.
Find related artists such as cover bands, related releases such as tribute albums, and related record labels
List all tracks for a given release or release version and get details for each track including related recording and work
List all release versions optionally grouped by format (such as vinyl, CD, etc.) or release country
View detailed release album art and sometimes even images of physical media such as records, jackets, liner notes, etc.
Tap once on artwork to enter zoom then double-tap to toggle between zoom modes

Apple Music subscribers may stream any artist, release, or track that is found in Apple's streaming catalog without leaving the app
Users without Apple Music subscriptions will still be provided with external links if it is found in Apple Music

Your collection is stored on iCloud so it can be accessed on all platforms

Several different rating schemes are supported such as 3, 4, or 5 star, out-of-ten, like/dislike, favorite, etc.
